After the success of our information evenings, we have received many requests to post the information on the internet so that people curious about Santosha can see what its all about. 

This post is the first in a series, that aims to cover everything that we covered in our information evenings, plus some of the more up to date goings-on. It won't stop there though! After these notes, Emily and I will be creating the Santosha blog - so that people can be kept up to date with all new information and upcoming events! So let it begin :)

We present to you...

SANTOSHA - A vision for a Domain community inspired by Anastasia, Vladimir Megre and the Ringing Cedars of Russia Series.

In this series of notes we will be covering the following topics:

So firstly.. 

WHO ARE WE?

My name is Alex, I'm 24 years old. I grew up on a farm in the central wheatbelt of Western Australia and came to Perth for High School. I studied 2 and a half years of law before I dropped the course, but I finished an Arts degree with a major in Political Science. After my parent's divorce in 2006, I began looking for answers as to why everyone in the world was so unhappy. I researched conspiracies and was intensely involved with activism for a number of years. Eventually my anger gave way to an awareness of sprituality and my own divine nature. I am still interested in relieving human suffering, but now believe a peaceful, holistic approach will be the most effective. I love life and the magical beauty that is found in every moment!

My name is Emily and I'm 22. I have a Bachelor of Arts, in Fashion and Textile design. Recently I have decided to pursue my own design practise and have started my own sustainable label called 'Dreamscapes & Dragonflies'. Now I create clothes, costumes, art and teach dancing. I am a visual and tactile creator, and I love it. It's what I am passionate about... When I am creating I feel closest to my inner child, and to God....

We met at university, studying to be mainstream primary school teachers. We both dropped the course. We recognized ourselves in each others souls and have cultivated a beautiful love, which grows every day. We are very similar in many ways, and our differences compliment each other. We both aspire to create a beautiful space of love where we can start a family.


You will, of course, come to know us better in just 5 minutes of talking with us than you will through any written text. Our story is probably very similar to yours. We see the earth in its current state, and we know that its not how it should be. We feel empowered to make a positive difference for our own sakes, and for the sake of the next generation. Its all about love!

WHAT IS THE RINGING CEDARS SERIES?

As we discovered at our information evening, a great number of very diverse people are attracted to Santosha. Some people have read all of the books, some people have read just a few of them, and some people have not ready any but are just attracted to conscious community and eco-village living. 


With this kind of diversity, we thought it a good idea to give just a brief overview of the ideas contained in the Ringing Cedars books. While our own souls have filled in the gaps, the ideas of the Ringing Cedars are the guiding philosophy for Santosha.

Nature

Every blade of grass, every bug, is interrelated with the whole of creation and subsequently aids a child in becoming aware of the essence of the universe.

 - Space of Love (book 3)

In the Ringing Cedars series there is a large emphasis on nature. Anastasia does not recommend looking for God inside a church, temple or mosque. Instead look to the living word around us! Every living being is the materialized thought of God. Nature is the world that God created, while society is a world created by men who have forgetten God. 


To discover your spirituality, go to the forest, to the ocean or to the desert. Or even better, plant a garden, grow fruit and vegetables. Let the earth feel your tender touch and embrace your connection with all of creation :)

Pro Man

Look, O Universe, look! Behold my son. Man. In him are particles of all the diverse energies of the universe. He dwells on all planes of being. He is creation! He is all of all! He will endow everything with the joy of life. He will rule the universe.

The Ringing Cedars of Russia series is unashamedly pro-Man (Man is used throughout the Ringing Cedars to refer to both genders). There is a tendency in the modern age to see Man as insignificant, corruptible and an environmental distaster. This kind of thinking is not promoted in the Ringing Cedars of Russia series. While it is true that the Earth is suffering, only Man is capable of restoring Earth to be a paradise of flourishing gardens. We are the solution.

There are beings who exist on many planes of reality, but none of them are as powerful as Man. In all of the universe, only in Man and in God are there all the energies of the universe. Man is unique. Man exists on all planes of being. The physical plane was created by God and it is Man alone who is given the responsibility to care for this garden. By thinking of ourselves as beautiful, divine beings, we claim stewardship of the earth and maintain the cosmic balance. 

God

God is our father. He is a person. He is a living entity, capable of feeling and understanding. As any parent who loves his child unconditionally, he can think of no greater good for himself than the joy that comes from the joyful existence of his children.

The metaphysics of the Ringing Cedars series does not present God as the judgemental patriach of the Abrahamic religions, or the empty void of the oriental religions, but instead encourages us to relate to God as a living being. Our pain is God's pain. Our Joy is God's joy. Each person is capable of holding conversation directly with God. God abide no intermediaries. God is kind.

Man's Purpose

From all across the unfathomable Universe one question was uttered by all, addressed only to him:

'What do you so fervently desire?' everyone enquired.

And He, confident in His dream, replied:

'Co creation and joy for all in its contemplation'.

Life is not meaningless or purposeless. There is a reason for existence, Man has a purpose. Co creation and joy in contemplation. Call it what you like, love, light, peace, ecstasy, joy, delight, happiness. All the positive feelings you have ever felt - thats the point of it all. God was aflame with inspiration and desired to share this with others who could know the joy of creation. Man. 

When Vladimir asked Anastasia's Grandfather what kind of life was most pleasing to God, Anastasia's Grandfather replied confidently - a happy one!

It is Man's birthright to create. If you use your God given power to bring joy to yourself and others, then you are living the divine dream. That's why we are here. That's why you are reading this right now. Perhaps together with God, we can co create paradise gardens in our domain community and bring delight to the Earth, ourselves and to God :)

WHAT IS A DOMAIN?

A domain is a space of love. It is your motherland, literally, the land is like a mother. It is capable of restoring your strength and nurturing your spirit. On this piece of land the three primary planes of being will merge and connect you to all the universe. 

In practical terms, a domain is one of the central ideas of the Ringing Cedars series. Anastasia recommends that every person take a piece of land, no less that one hectare, and create a home on that piece of land. The land is taken in perpetuity, meaning that it cannot be bought and sold like an investment, but is taken with the purpose of establishing a kin's domain, living out your life there, and passing it on to your descendants. 

On your domain you can have a small pond, some natural forest, a fruit orchard and a vegetable garden. You can add all sorts of things, like a chicken coop, a gazebo, flower beds etc. The land is yours to do what you like. 

Anastasia says it is very important that your land is fenced off, that you know where your land begins and ends so that you can feel responsibility and freedom on your domain. However, she does not recommend a fence in the traditional sense - steel pickets that will rust, or wooden posts that will decay. She suggests planting a 'living fence'.

A living fence is a fence made of plants, bushes, flowers and trees. You choose whatever plants you like, plant them around your boundaries and eventually they will grow into a magnifecent fence of living beings, capable of surrounding you with the energy of love! These plants react to you and respond to your thoughts. For more information about this, I highly recommend reading/re reading the chapter 'touching paradise' in Anastasia (book 1) 

WHAT IS A DOMAIN COMMUNITY

I have read through the Ringing Cedars series a number of times now, and I have never found any specific instructions on what a domain community is. This means that it is up to the inspiration of our souls to fill in the blanks and create the kind of community that want.

What we present to you now is our vision for a domain community :)

My son. The universe itself is a thought, a thought from which was born a dream, which is partially visible as matter. When you approach the edge of creation, your thought will reveal a new beginning and continuation. From obscurity will arise a new and resplendent birth of you, and it will reflect in itself your soul, your dreams, your whole aspirations. My son you are infinite, you are eternal, within you are your dreams of creation.
